Each country had their own way of styling a corset based on the fashion trend, utility and climate. Below are some of the countries with their different types of corset styling.
France
The Corset emerged in France during the 18th century as one of the most crucial pieces of clothing, beautifying women. The standards of female beauty were the highest for French women since they were significantly influenced by theimagination and thought of the French artists. A French corset or waist trainer designs showcased the stories of beauty and femininity in an attractive artistic dialogue language. Every corset designed by French designers were considered as pieces of art.
Italy
In the first period of 1500 to 1525 years, women wore underwear as an invisible industrial effect to give the thin shape of the body. The “Corset” at the beginning was made of two layers of raw cloth held together with something for rigidity. This was worn inside the shirt or under the inner robe.
Germany
Germans preferred comfortable corsets to ensure that they didn’t cause them any harm or restriction. Therefore, the corset was fixed with clasps on both sides. The inner lining of it was supported by long vertical bars of bamboo, metal, or wood, making the front portion fully reinforced and reliable.
Spain
The Spanish influence appeared on the corsets that were made of reinforced leather or linen, and supported by long strips of wool or whale. A rib to fix and strengthen the corset was added to a long piece of wood to provide complete support.
Over the years, and across the countries, women have worn a waist trainer or corset to come to the desired body shape. Each country had developed itsdistinctive way of styling a corset entirely influenced by the climate, utility, lifestyle, fashion, and culture.
