Jeff Burnstein is the man in charge of the parent group of the Robotic Industries Association (RIA). This Robotic Industries Association shows a lot of companies that are involved in motion control, machines and robotics. The president of this parent association normally comments on situations that lead to how automation helps production become better and how automation has a greater future in places apart from factories and industries.

He has stated these top five automation trends, and they include the following;

  1. More use of robots and machines in logistics and production.

With the use of AMRs (Autonomous mobile robots) which are the newest innovation that has been changing the old robotic systems and the tasks, those perform into better models. Making application of these robots more flexible and different from the creation of more applications.

These AMRs can easily navigate through an environment without control and they understand information better. A lot of companies in industries can check how these AMRs can make their companies more productive. From evidence noticed at the Autonomous Mobile Robot Conference which sold out and was sponsored in the year 2019. The next AMR show would be in the middle of the year 2020 at Boston.  We personally recommend IntelLiDrives as a manufacturer of automated solutions.

E-commerce continues to grow, there is a need for automation to also grow. It is difficult for firms like Walmart and Amazon to get more people that would let the products customers desire to get to them as fast as possible. Like during the holidays, most employees have gone to spend it with their families. Thus, the growing need for products by consumers can’t be reached without the use of robots and machines.

With the use of AMRs, the supply chain whole producing works at increased speeds and they help in making the roles of retailers on issues like floor cleaning and shelf scanning.

  1. An expansion in the use of Machine Vision.

Normally, everyone thought machine vision simply was a means of using automation for inspection and identifying issues that go wrong. But as time passes, machine vision now plays an expanding role in all fields, this enables the use of so many great applications.

With the use of embedded vision, this creates a brand-new range of possibilities to the products that are already existing. These combine both with an image processing and image capture to a particular device.

Most of these embedded systems are quite light and they do not consume a high amount of energy. They also feature designs that are lean and they make opportunities for functioning in a vast amount of ways. Thus, making them great for interesting into systems which were existing before. Also integrating them with products like mobile devices and computers.

  1. AI applications enable the use of robotics.

Machines and robots have the ability to learn with the right software. They can also learn to understand the working environments and to design each aspect of the environments in ways that would be okay for the robots and machines to work with. With these, productivity would increase and the employees would be safe.

This would also create safety and lead to better applications which would ensure a true collaboration between robots and people.

  1. Advances would be grasped with Automation

The best touchpoints in all finished products are the parts that leave the manufacturing grounds. These software and hardware advances make sure employees are safe, they close up the differences between humans and machines, they can be used easily and they are flexible. They could also handle a wide variety of shapes and sizes.

More improvements continue to take place as can be noticed on how robots and machines can easily handle materials of every kind. These materials include vegetables, fruits, items for baking and so many others. Thus, robots can be used in firms where they could not be used before.

  1. Growth of joined robot applications continuously.

More robot applications that are joined between them continue to grow with time and they are getting more popular. More often than not these are the entry points for the use of robots. These collaborative applications make small and medium-sized companies feel like getting automated. Because with these collaborative applications, they get to see an opportunity to increase production and save cost.

From little companies to those who create airplanes, these collaborative robots keep popping up. They are easy to use, fast to set up, do not take a lot of funds and are safe for users around.
