Did you buy a new air fryer or Oven this Christmas? Today people are conscious about their health and looking for steam food rather than fried one. With an air fryer, you will not be technically frying, but it makes it crispy and gives you the feel of fried food. You can enjoy snacks like French fries, chicken fried, rings as crispy as they get by frying, but you will not eat the added fat that comes with deep frying. And the best thing is you can enjoy Braised Salmon Head with Soy Sauce (ต้ม ซี อิ้ หัว ปลา แซลมอน, which is the term in Thai), which is all crispy and gets perfectly cooked up with an air fryer as it operates in the same way as an oven. Let us look at some of the recipes that you can try in an air fryer or an oven:

Salmon With Air Fryer:

Preheat the even-sized salmon fillets in your air fryer. Or you can always save your time by readymade pieces pre-cut into the fillets. It is an alternative option for you to peel of the skin, but it is not mandatory.

Season fillets with some paprika, garlic, salt as per taste, black pepper, and drizzle a little amount of olive oil over the top. Adding paprika is optional as it gives out a nice browned color texture. Mix all the spices perfectly for that spicy flavor and then put it in the air fryer.

Depending on factors like the thickness of salmon, you can keep it for 7-10 minutes, and you’ll know when it will peel off easily.

What will you serve with fried salmon? The best option that you could opt for is Braised Salmon Head with Soy Sauce. Soy sauce works best with lightly fried salmon heads. And if you do not have that, you can have salad, grains, or vegetable filling.

Tips To Follow:

  1. Fillets must be thick enough and even throughout so that it cooks at the same time.
  2. Each fryer will cook at a different time due to the thickness, size, and brand of the air fryer you have. You can use a fork to insert it in the salmon if it flakes off quickly, then it is cooked.
  3. Make sure that you preheat the fryer before you add salmon to it. The preheat ensures that the salmon is cooked uniformly in the entirely. It not only saves your time but adds crisped edges.
